Lugano overview

Bouna matina! Come va? Visitors won’t see the Coliseum, Venetian canals, or even the Leaning Tower here. This is Switzerland’s Italy. This is Lugano. Overlooking the tranquil, temperate shores of Lake Lugano in Switzerland’s southern region, Lugano township exudes the essence of Italian culture. From the al fresco style lakeside promenade, to the divine mountain scenery surrounding the town, Lugano is undoubtedly the ‘cream of the crop’ when it comes to diverse attractions. Only a few kilometres east of the township stands Monte Bre, Switzerland’s sunniest location. Nevertheless, the downtown area of Lugano boasts a plethora of landmarks, including St. Lawrence Cathedral, Piazza della Riforma and St Mary of Angels Church.
