Geneva overview

Renowned throughout the world as the city of peace, Geneva is probably the most well-known destination in Switzerland. Tucked away in the French-influenced, southwest corner of the country, Geneva is home to a profusion of international organisations, including the likes of the United Nations, World Trade Organisation and the World Health Organisation. However, throw in a magnificently tendered Old Town, a sprinkling of fine museums, a dash of beautifully-landscaped green zones, not to mention an endless list of stylish after-hour establishments, and we have got ourselves a genuine, unmistakable, in-your-face-to-be-embraced tourist hotspot. Although Geneva is a peaceful city by general standards, visitors will certainly feel a pull on their pockets as they explore the cityscape, as Geneva is one of the most expensive locations across the globe. The prices may be high but Geneva undeniably gives tourists their money’s worth.
