Engelberg overview

Engelberg is one of the closest ski fields to Swiss capital, Zurich; located as it is just to the south of Lake Lucerne. It is one of Switzerland’s very best ski resorts and is a popular haunt of the rich and famous, owing to its class hotels and lodges and the never ending apr?s ski options. The town itself is charming and has a fantastic position almost entirely flanked by the mountains of the Alps, while quality ski slopes abound here and at nearby Mount Titlis. The off-piste skiing is also pretty top-notch at Engelberg and there is unbeatable hiking in the summer months, along with pumping apr?s-ski nightlife. Journey time from Zurich, where there is an international airport, to Engelberg is under three hours by train.
